Riley Williams, EdD isn’t just running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction—she’s stepping up for families like hers who have experienced the failures of Oklahoma’s education system firsthand.

As a parent of two children who need extra educational support, including a son with Down syndrome, Dr. Williams knows how difficult it can be to get children the resources they need. When her daughter was unable to receive the support recommended by her medical professionals, she saw how outdated policies and unnecessary barriers were keeping students from reaching their full potential—not because of our dedicated teachers and staff, but because of a system that isn’t designed to meet every child’s unique needs.

Instead of standing by, Dr. Williams is taking action to bring real solutions to Oklahoma’s schools.

With a Doctorate of Education in Leadership and as the host of the Innovating Education Podcast, Dr. Williams is a champion for modernizing Oklahoma’s schools. Her Innovating Education Framework focuses on:
